Default D-BOX on blu-ray

For those of you interested in knowing more about the technology, here's what I found http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUGTSPL01L8

Certainly seeing this feature on more blurays

I only have 1 or 2 Dbox motion enabled discs, so its hardly as widespread as advertised. Most of the movies (if not all) are Fox that are advertised in that advert and I have region B versions of half of them which are not supporting the format (or at least don't advertise the feature on the packaging).

Many movies (over 800 at last count) are supported, and they don't have to be on the disc itself. Many more are added every month. See the list here:

Yeah well, look at any movie that has multiple country releases and you'll find the UK version is not supported. More of my Fox discs are UK than US due to me only recently getting a region A player.

Besides, this is really for people with dedicated HT space, which makes this thread applicable for the die hard or lottery winning fan.

I sat through a demonstration of D-Box. It is awesome on action packed movies but very pricey.
