Default Where the hell is Three Kings?

This was the first dvd I ever bought and I am really surprised that it hasn't hit BD yet as it was out on dvd when dvd was still fairly new back in about 1998 or 1999.

Warner is probably either afraid to "work their magic" on it and ruin the intended look of the film (which is meant to be extremely gritty) which would make the hobbyists mad, or they fear the backlash from folks who would buy it and be angry that it isn't as glossy and clear as I, Robot.

That said, it is one of my favorites and I hope it receives a proper release sooner rather than later.

I can hear the cries of thousands of people yelling about film grain. I for one hope when it comes out it looks just like it did in the theater, full of grain and dirt.

Said Taghmaoui's scene is still amazing! Go see the movie people if you haven't!

I fully agree with you on this. To be honest, I'm watching GI Joe right now and I recognized him and thought back to his great character in Three Kings. It was definitely a hair raising scene.

And the excuse of gritty PQ doesn't hold water, since Clerks has been released on BD. I feel it might have more to do w/ war/political issues.

Tremendous movie. The tension on set between Clooney and the director is well documented, I believe.

DNR? Do Not Resuscitate?

lol

I loved Three Kings, and thought Said Taghmaoui's scene where he was interrogating Wahlberg was fantastic!
