This was the maiden voyage for FutureShop that Started the whole SteelBook run.

First steelbook, underestimated popularity, short supply run.
I would assume that it would be the "4K" limit or maybe a bit more. For sure no where near the size of current releases which were probably between 5K-10K.

I would say somewhere near the Disney run right now but probably double it. Same thing with Iron Man.

To add, its the first 'BR' steelbook ever created. However FS was releasing exclusive DVD steelbooks for several years prior.

Regarding the quantity, I think they made more than Disney quantities but less than say Dark Knight BR. I remember when they first came out there were literally 20-30 copies on a shelf in each FS I walked into. And they stayed on the shelf for several months with nobody willing to shell out $35CDN for a subpar movie. Most collectors of the FS DVD steelbooks like myself were probably debating whether or not we wanted to start collecting BR steelbooks.

Then they all started to disappear off the shelves in a matter of days. My guess is that most were being returned/destroyed due to lack of sales. Some were probably purchased to make a quick $5-10/copy as back then they weren't worth any more than that.

Sorry, but Pan Labyrinth (Germany) was the first Blu-Ray Steelbook ever released with a release date of September 6th 2007.

My friend in Canada was able to score an I am Legend from Futureshop with the 10% off sale they had 2 weeks ago.......Ends my long search for a reasonable deal on this

Got it for around 25.00

If you have multiple store in your area I suggest checking them out...

I scored a copy of the Ironman bluray steelbook™ yesterday still labeled at 29.99$. About a month ago I found a copy of I Am Legend for 34.99$ (which is quite pricey) but anyway... Right now I'm keeping those copies until they increase in value but I bet there are still some copies in store. Recently I realized that my X-Men - The Last Stand steelbook™ was worth something like 200$ (you still have to find the person willing to pay that price!).

I've checked a couple of my FS's computers for several oop releases.. no on the IAL, no more Iron Man , apparently one place had 69 Spiderman 3's, but couldn't find a one ..
