Lego Batman Freezing

Has anyone had problems with any freezing in Lego Batman (insert Mr. Freeze joke here!)? I just picked it up and 3 different times in 3 different spots of the Two-Face Chase level the game would freeze and I'd have to turn off the Playstaion.
I have a 60 gig PS3 about 2 years old and never had this problem before. Is this usually game specific or a problem with the unit?

have you tried another game to see if it freezes as well? you might want to try that so you can try to eliminate the ps3 as the problem

I havent had any problems with Batman lego, also have a 60bg ps3. Have you checked there are no scratches or fingerprints on the disc? Only happens with this game?

Yeah, I use it just about every day and have not had any issues with any other games. The unit is well ventilated, and never shown any problems before.

if it is not happening with other games then i would think it is the game and not the ps3... have you checked the blu? any scratches or dust/dirt on the it?

maybe a glitch with the game, maybe it needs a patch. i would maybe google the problem and see if there are any more reported cases of it

No scratches or smudges at all (I triple checked!) - the game was just out of the package maybe a half hour. I'll have to keep my eyes open I guess and see if others report similar problems. My PS3 warranty's up in December, so I'm paranoid of issues!

yeah i would just keep a watchful eye on the ps3. if it happens with another game or a blu ray then you may have a problem with the ps3....in which case you would need to hope that you can detect the problem before your warranty expires or sony will want $150 from ya
