Default How would you grade your collection?

I would grade my collection as a B

I have 160 titles

I have 19 of the top 20 most popular movies as per My Collection feature on Blu Ray.com

Now I give myself a B because I do own some stinkers. Yes, I did pay very minimal for them, but that doesnt make the movies good. (Hannah Montana concert, High School Musical 2, Fools Gold, Camp Rock, and wait for it... Meet the Spartans) all by default, but they still sit on my shelf.

I'd grade mine as A-. I have 185 and have some great ones such as the Godfather trilogy, The Matrix collection, etc. I have a few disney films but not like the ones you've mentioned except HMS2. But, I'd definitely go with A-. Because I don't think it will be a solid A until things like Back to the Future, Star Wars, the original Indiana Jones films, The Lord of the Rings, and Toy Story 1 and 2 hit my shelf on Blu.

While I think every title I have is top notch quality for the films themselves, I think I'd have to rate my collection as a B+. I have a lot more catalog titles than new releases. And even those ones are more critical darlings and regular successes than record breaking box office hits that happen to be reference material. I'm holding off on IRON MAN just so that I can get it at Christmas, as well as the two James Bond volumes, HELLBOY II: THE GOLDEN ARMY and THE DARK KNIGHT. I only have one of the most popular titles (NO COUNTRY)

Hell, most of them I haven't even looked at fully because not only am I too busy with work and just my library DVD's to get through the Blu's, but I still can't establish a BD-Live link with my stand alone Sony BDPS350. (BTW, if anyone can explain to me how to fix my link in a way that a five year old can understand, that would be great. I'll send you the details.)

I dunno. I only have 42 titles, so going through them will be quick. Let me know if my collection is good. I'm pretty sure it is, I'd just like a second opinion.

A+ because it's all titles that I want to have and none that I don't want, and I think that's all that matters.

Agreed. I love having Surf's Up, Bridge to Terabithia, and Step into Liquid in my collection, while my wife loves having loves Sex in the City in our collection. Surprisingly, I love having Resident Evil: Extinction and BOTH Alien Vs. Predator movies, and my wife is enjoying going through Mad Men Season 1. Rate our collection an F if you want, but it's what we want.

I'd grade mine as a B- because, as a reviewer, I don't have much say in what I get. And, unfortunately, I am unable to sell/trade the copies that I don't wish to keep. My only option is to destroy them... but I could never do that to a Blu-ray... no matter how bad the film is ('One Missed Call', 'Primeval', 'Benchwarmers', etc). Perhaps someday when I am desperate for Blu-ray cases and don't want to pay for them...

Amen.

My collection is movies that myself, my wife, or my daughter enjoy.

Haha....Hellboy 2 will actually make your collection drop 2 grades.....it was that bad.....

I joke I joke....personal opinion....

Back to the actual thread....I would give my collection a B+. Of all the movies out, I have most of the great ones, and I only own a couple movies generally regaurded as terrible.

I'd say a B+ is about right for me. Of my 160+ titles, there are a few mediocre flicks from blind buys.

I'd grade my collection at about a B. There are some titles that I regret buying because of their transfer quality(Finding Neverland, AOJJBCRF) or lack of hd audio(Goodfellas), and imports that I would like to get if they were region-free or had english subtitles. I've also supplemented my collection with good imports(Infernal Affairs Trilogy, Almost Famous, Phantom of The Opera with HD Audio).

For me I would say it's an A. I have about every Blu that I personally want.

I'm not interested in volume just substance.

I figured I'd weigh in on this thread and give my collection a D for quantity and an A+ for quality and replay value (which matters the most). i only have 21 right now but every single blu means alot to me in one way or another. With blu's I'm being very cautious as to what titles to purchase, not like with dvd's where i just bought everything back when they were just introduced. Money doesn't grow on trees especially with the economy getting worse and worse so why waste good money on films that don't matter or aren't even worth mentioning twice
