Welcome to the forum Scott!

And yes, you would certainly benefit from improved picture quality with a Blu-ray player. Size of TV has no bearing on this.

I don't know if you're considering a PS3 as your Blu-ray player, but I would recommend that you do. And for the record, a PS3 is not just for gamers. Mine is used for movies and music roughly 95% of the time.

"HD Ready"? What resolution does it output? If it's still doing standard definition resolution, then no you're not really going to see a difference.

Yep, you'll notice a difference. Look at you tv manual and just double check your connections, whether you have a hdmi or component connection, pick up a blu-ray player and get the cable that cooresponds to your tv connection.

Good luck, check out the HDTV forum
