I don't think this idea goes in this thread, but I have a question for anyone that can help me. I have a great video game idea and I want it made for the PS3. Does anyone have any connections so I can get the ball rolling?
My game idea is party game with a little bit of everything from just about every genre and I think the PS3 can really pull out potential because of the EyeToy or Eye3, online play, SIXAXIS, and the harddrive will be used in this game if my idea gets made into a game. The problem is that it is only an idea and I do not know how to program. Do you think that they can just go off a sugestion because I have the game in my mind and almost how the gameplay is going to be. I see how the game is going to be to the extent of the basic capabilities of the PS3 and how everything is going to be setup but I am in no position to make it myself or just create a demo. Plus, I believe this game will be the PS3's game to rival Nintendo's Super Smash Bros.

Instead of submitting your idea, try refining it. For example, if you were to release the game as a demo download, what kind of gameplay does the demo lets you play.
If you can't code, try visualising it. If you don't know how to draw, find objects that closely resemble your idea. Storyboard the gameplay. Also, cover your copyright/royalty ass. The more you develop it yourself, the better you understand the game which will make it easier for you to pitch the idea to the game developer. fuad |

Prior to pitching your idea, get everything down on paper. Write up a brief description of the game, then go into a little bit more detail on levels and mechanics (color schemes, music, controls, etc.). Leave no detail out if at all possible. I recommend outlining your plan/vision then go from there.
Here's an example of a design doc for a game: http://gamasutra.com/features/20070220/bateman_01.shtml |
