Until now, The Rundown was only available as Welcome To The Jungle (Australian Import). This will now be released on Feb. 10, 2009.

Thanks for the info. I may double dip as I really like this movie and already own the HD DVD.

As I mentioned in a news comment, this is one of my favorite action/comedies and it doesn't seem like many people even know about it. Anyway, I bought the import from Amazon.de but I'm interested in the US release as well.

its coming out next year in Japan and this year or next year in germany as well.

I don't understand what makes a studio want to release a movie exclusive to other regions only.

I will probably get this it was a funny movie. I think Sean William Scott and Alyson Hannigan were the only careers not distroyed by American Pie.

different studio's may own the rights to movies around the world , Sony has released house of flying daggers on blu ray in the US but where i live Universal own the rights to it and are handling the blu ray release.

So that means it time to buy it now right? I’m sure Millcreek will neuter it, as they do.

Eh. Its one of the first movies Universal is licensing to Mill Creek so it may lose the extras but keep the DTS-HD MA 5.1 track or change it to Dolby TrueHD.

This is such an entertaining movie. It's got good replay value, I've seen it at least 4 times.

It's the perfect "Hmm, there's nothing good on TV. Oh look, The Rundown...guess I'll just leave this on".
