Default Blu Ray, Netflix, and my Mac

More newbie help, please. I now understand that there are at least two new Blu-Ray players out there that run Netflix directly. Because I have a Mac, I can't download Netflix so this is a very attractive option. (Yes, I know that Netflix is supposed to do something with Macs soon but I've been hearing this for about a year and a half now). I also know that Netflix offers "The Box" but has had mixed reviews and something about not working with surround sound is part of the problem. I am techno impaired so could have that wrong.
The point of all of this is will I sacrifice quality for direct streaming? Should I get one of the Black Friday specials for a really good Blu Ray and forget Netflix? (I want Netflix... want it, want it, want it!) Thanks!

No way!!??

Update: you won't find it on the first page (just pc) but you will find it on the second link. Even then it pretty much says it won't work till the end of the year for most mac users but, for me, it did work!
