Default Your thoughts...

Hi, I've been researching here and there for getting a new HDTV. I'm tired right now so apologies for not a whole lot of info but to put it shortly, I've been looking at differences between plasmas and lcd and the only thing I see lcd has over plasma is the burn in image ordeal, even though i've heard it isn't a problem for most new generation plasmas. I got a few questions...

1. i've heard that lcd is for gaming, if so, would a plasma be a bad idea for me? if so, why?

2. would you recommend getting this tv?

http://6ave.com/shop/product.aspx?sku=PANTH42PZ80U

not sure how much i can spend atm but yeah... is that a good deal? have you heard anything about that tv? tell me ANYTHING

3. and if you know of any other tv's in that price range and no more than 46" that you can show, dont be shy

thanks.

1. I play Gears Of War 2 and Call Of Duty 4 non stop on my tv and do not even get IR. I do turn down the setting to under half when I am playing just to be safe and turn on my Anti image retension but other then that its great.

2. I own that tv and I am very happy with it I love the way blu's look on

3. That is a really good price on that TV and I would purchase it soon

check out my gallery if you want to see some pictures of the TV playing blus

I aswell have to say that I don't see any problem, what so ever, with gaming on a plasma. That offer you postet here looks like a very good deal. I'm very happy with my plasma, both for PC-use, HDTV-use, and gaming.

Go for it!

Well, I just ordered the Panasonic Viera TH-42PZ85U from Amazon with TigerDirect. If anyone has info on this seller it would be much appreciated.
