Does anyone know when Equilibrium blu-ray will be released. On this site it says it should have been released last month, but i cant find anything.

was just wondering if anyone knows if this is a region free flick like they did Chocolate?!?!?!!! you could watch the film on a U.S. blu-ray player, but couldn't watch the special features.... anyone know if Equilibrium is the same or not?!??!!! or is it locked for the peeps in the UK...

Yeah, but is it a good disc? I love the flick, but I refuse to buy it if the picture and sound quality is anything less than stellar.

well i know alot of folks didn't like chocolate... but the blu-ray quality was top notch... and the audio was really well done with the DTS HD MA..

so i'm definately picking this up to see how it is.

it says two men (bale and diggs). one battle. no compromise. on the main cover. i wonder why they did this? ok but diggs wasn't in th movie that much and he didn't put up much of a fight. the cover should have been just bale. and something about freedom instead ofadvertising it as fight between two men.

should have been the normal cover, the blu cover looks mental.

The blu cover must be using a foreign poster or something... The disc itself has the image of Bale sticking out the 2 guns like on the DVD cover.

How does this release compare to the UK or the JPN release? Is it the same ratio as the UK release?

So much for BD being an enthuasist's format, and being "true to the source" and all....

So we've had four releases of this movie and three of them are not in the proper aspect ratio? That's pretty pathetic in 2009, I thought we solved this in 1997 with DVD. You can get "fullscreen" titles, but the widescreen ones were overwhelmingly in OAR.

Disney is just not releasing catalog titles on Blu-ray at this point. I strongly doubt we see Equilibrium in the U.S. for years. There are no problems at all with the Japanese release except the price.
