Default Olevia tv ?

I am planning on getting a HDTV soon for my PS3 and to watch my blu-ray movies and would like to know what are your thoughts on this brand of tv, is it comparable to the big name brands such as Sony or Samsung? Thanks.

My grandfather has one of these tvs (yea my grandfather how funny is that) and when watching hd the tv seems like it has some problems keeping up with the shot. Sports are the hardes thing to watch one them. Like the post said above i would go with a proven brand.

I'm not trying to defend the brand, just curious, is he using an HD signal? Or is it standard cable?

I live in Canada and I am planning on getting a Sony Bravia 40 inch, as of right now their is two models one for $1699.00 and the other at $1799.00. I just like to get opinions on other brands just to compare. Thanks.

I personally perfer my Infocus projector with. I use a 106' draper screen. Picture quality is awsome. I have and extra 20x17" room with great lighting control. This may be another option than a TV if you can control light in you place.

The problem with these Taiwanese LCD TVs is that they are just okay.....

Cheap in price...yes

But it is because it is cheap (PQ is so-so, contrast ratios are low, etc. etc.)

So if you just want super-low pricing (you don't care if the quality sucks), go for these Taiwan-made sets.

Don't do so if you can't stand their cheap PQ quality.
