I was just wondering, which is better for renting BD movies, Blockbuster Total Access or Netflix???
Right now I have I have Blockbuster Total Access but I have not been to happy with them. They don't carry all the BD movies just some of the major titles. I can't find March of the Penguins BD for example. And the titles they do carry are in short supply...I have to wait a long time to get some. Also, I would like to reserve some movies before they come out and I can't really do that with BD. So which is better Total Access or Netflix??? |

I have a Blockbuster Rewards card, but I just think Blockbuster is planning to delay carring HD discs for as long as they can and so I'm looking at the mail-renting services, too. While I don't know for sure, it appears that NetFlix is a much better service for renting BDS. Their selection appears larger and they are wonderful for renting DVDs, at least according to everyone I know who uses NetFlix.

I use blockbuster. It is great, except for that they aren't always available right away, because I think they are out of stock. (That is actually a good thing for us bluray supporters). But I love it, rent one, return it in store and get another one for free. For $6 a month I get 4 movies, plus a free pass for a movie or game of my choice, so actually 5 movies for 6 bucks.

I know that the two blockbusters next to my house don't carry any BDs. I wish Blockbuster would hurry up and get with the HD program. I think I might switch to netfix....

I just rented The Holiday from Netflix. In general Netflix is very good with Blu-ray rentals but sometimes it takes a few days longer to receive Blu-ray movies from Netflix because they ship from a facilities that is out of state from me. In contrast, I always receive SD movies within 1 day after they are shipped.
Renting is good in my opinion because we can't buy every movie and personally I refuse to buy Blu-ray movies that don't include lossless audio tracks. |
