Where to find car adapter for portable dvd player - Blu-ray Forum

I have a Polaroid portable dvd player (DPA-08040B) and lost the ac adapter that goes into the cigarette lighter in the car. I have tried some universal ones, but they don't work. Any ideas on where to find one?

Radio shack? Tiger direct?

did you get the one from radio shack with all the different plug types?

Make sure you have the correct polarity set-up too!

Yes, the one plug that fit didn't power it on.

Was the voltage on the cig lighter plug set properly?

Yes, it had a voltage selecter and I tried every one.

Do you have the plug in one for the home? If so buy an inverter for your car.

Yeah, I think that is what I'll have to do. I was hoping the actual car adapter would be cheaper, but can't find one.

Inverters are cheap now though and they do come in handy.
