Did anyone else get ripped off by this guy? On 11/27 I sent the payment, he responded on 11/28 and told me I was marked as paid, and told me i would receive it THAT wednesday, anyway, needless to say its been weeks he finally messaged me about a week ago and told me it was stuck at the warehouse and never got shipped and asked me if it was ok if a couple days later he shipped it himself, I responded back with sure as long as he can provide UPS or FEDEX tracking information, and he never replied back or has signed on since that later on that day.
For those of you who have experienced this sort of thing, whats my next step in getting my money back? It was $30 paid through Google Checkout, should I contact them? (By the way I am officially 0-2 on buying something through Blu-Ray.com trading forum) ripped off by: RYDES ahaxton never received product paid for) |

That really sucks , especially since both members do have feedback and it's positive. I wouldn't give up just yet , I know it's been a while and I know it's stressful when you send money and you don't' receive your package , especially since you aren't "safe" because blu-ray.com isn't responsible at all for trades that happen on the forum but I would wait a little longer and something good might still happen. As for refund I don't know about google checkout but I hope it would have some type of reimbursement like paypal.
Life can throw curve balls at any time and sometimes things don't happen the way you expect. I remember on here that one member had set up trades and was supposed to ship them and it never happened and it turned out that the seller had died tragically in a car accident and it was his wife that came on the forums and explained / apologized etc for the delay. I'm not saying that's the case and you didn't get ripped off but if you said it was 11/26 and you got contact from him a week ago there might still be hope. People who screw you over usually don't tend to stick around and keep lying on PM. I hope it works out for you and you get a little luckier in your trades on blu-ray.com Regardless of what happens, I wouldn't consider the trade positive , more so neutral if you do happen to receive your product. ps: by the way, if Rydes ripped you off why doesn't he have a negative feedback from you ? It is good to let us know about it so we can be aware of such behavior, however the resolution is all up to you. File a dispute with Paypal or Google since it is fraud and handle it through them, but definitely let us know if someone is scamming. Everyone should feel safe here, but every transaction is made at their own risk.

It's been 3 weeks since the deal was made, and since the seller has not come through on their end with either the goods or a refund then a - feedback is due to them... It would be a shame for another member to send payment to this person when more than one person has been waiting this long...

To clarify - this wasn't a PayPal transaction, it was a Google check-out invoice that he sent me thru his business (at least that's what he said). I actually got an email from Google asking me to rate my experience with the seller thru Google check-out. I haven't yet responded because it had only been 2 weeks at the time, and quite honestly I'm afraid of him giving me bad feedback if I give him negative feedback thru Google and here.
Well, if I don't hear anything from him after this week, I will be giving bad feedback. |

I would classify this as internet fraud. Contact the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) and file a complaint. From this thread it seems this isn't the first forum to be hit and the FBI will investigate.
