I have a 20GB PS3 also...The writing was on the wall for this to happen. The 20GB works out perfect for people who don't play online games like me.

I have a 20GB (it's all I could find at the time, and 20GB is better than no PS3) and feel it's fine for online gaming. Of course, I have my home wired with CAT-6, so no biggie.

I was wondering how the 20 GB ps3 would do and now I know. It didn't really make any sense to make a 20 GB and a 60 GB when more people would just get the 60 and not the 20. If you apply the updates on the 20, then you don't have much room left for other things. I'm down to 46 I think out of 55 GB on the 60. The 20 was never in high demand anyway. The 60 is what everyone wanted including me. Nice try by Sony.

All, you have to do is upgrade the HDD and it will be like the 60GB version but without the wi-fi and card readers. I've been using a USB flash drive on 20GB.

Does the PS3 have a gigabit port on it? I know in the early specs it had claimed it was going to, I didn't really pay attention to whether it actually did or not.

I guess the end was coming all along anyway. I grabbed a 60gb model because the ps3 was expensive enough anyway, so if I already paid so much why not just shell out a bit more and opt for the better one?
Yes, I know, I'm a sucker and got marketed to by SCEA hahaha ![]() |

This is a good move for Sony. They are making room for 60GB model to lower price to $499 in the fall and bring out a high end model with 160 or 250 GB high end model for $599.

I know that most of us all know that the 20 GB playstation 3 will not be made anymore. The link mentions that the 20 never was released in Europe.

You could always get the 60 and sell the 20 on ebay.
