Default Onkyo 806/Pan Dmpbd35k HD audio question

this is for my boss, who has an Onkyo txsr806 and a Pan Dmpbd35k. also has a Toshiba Hda3(?) and he has never been able to get the dolby truehd on the toshiba. just got the panasonic, so not sure if it will work immediately. he has messed with numerous settings, and still no go.. using hdmi cables to connect all sources. could someone please give me the settings for the reciever/both players to ensure that he can get his hd audio. latest firmware is also on every unit. any help would be appreciated

in the receiver settings: HDMI Audio Out = OFF

Bluray player settings, set to "Bitstream" and "Secondary Audio" to OFF.
