Hey, I want to get pushing daisies season1 but since it is canceled does anyone know if there is a chance they will release a "Complete Series" version?
Also, what is the cheapest I can get this set? With the 30% off coupon at WHV it is $23.07 but I think they charge tax.... |

And back on topic: I'm guessing that there'll just be a 2nd season and not a 'complete set'. I'm sure you'll be able to find them bundled at a discount. |

I read a rumor somewhere that they might show all three of the last episodes in one night... Can't say how much truth there is to that though.

Pushing Daisies seasons 1 and 2 are now on sale at WBshop.com for $12.00 each.
I picked up both sets from Amazon for 15.99 each, which was a pretty decent deal. At $12.00, it'll be tough to beat that price. |

I don't have a problem with them releasing a box set or a complete series set, as long as they also offer just Season 2 by itself. I already have Season 1, and wouldn't want to have to buy it again just to get 2. And I doubt they would want to screw over the fan base and possibly mess up sales by not releasing 2 by itself. Of course, they could always do what Tru Calling did on DVD. The first season got released, then eventually the very short 2nd season was released (it was only 1 disc). Then more recently, they created a complete series set, which mostly looks like the Season 1 set, only they change the writing to Complete Series and added the Season 2 disc to the set. I am really upset that Pushing Daisies is getting canceled. It is a really great show, and it did well last season, if I am not mistaken. This season did start out a little slow for me (the whole thing with Olive becoming a nun was kind of 'meh'), but over the last few weeks it has really gotten good. Originally the last episode that was filmed was going to be a cliffhanger, but supposedly they are reworking it to give the show a big more closure. And there's talk of an eventual comic to continue the show. It's not as good as the show continuing, but it's better than nothing. |

I was a fan of PD since the Pilot. I can't recall another TV show that used color so effectively as PD. The saturated colors, the fairy-tale narrator, and the quirky characters really set it apart from most new shows. It's a real shame that TV Execs don't allow shows to gather an audience over a few seasons. I guess it's all about the bottom line when it comes down to it.

Yeah I think so too (well about $25 with tax) I just don't want them to release a COMPLETE SET with the 2nd season...BUT I pulled the trigger and ordered it along with DARK KNIGHT ($20.97!) and Hairspray ($13.95!)
$62.77 for ALL 3 after TAX!! |
