I currently have a 42" Aquos Full HD1080p LCD TV that I got for sale @ costco for $1499.99 They shipped my the wrong color It clearly says "elegant new glossy black design" yeah they sent the opaque dark grey one It's UGLY! Now I'm going to return it do you guys think I should exchange it for the 46" BRAVIA™ XBR® LCD Flat Panel HDTVKDL-46XBR3 ? There's a website where they have it for $2700 Shipped do ya'll think the $1000 difference?

I would take the Aquos and the $1000 myself, not because the Bravia is inadequate, but because the new range is out in September, and that $1000 could go a long way to purchasing one of those. Google "Bravia X2550" it is Japan and Europ only for now, but expect a US model to be announced soon.

The main differences are 1080p24@120Hz support, HDMI 1.3, and use of a 10bit panel. If Sony stay true to form, they will heavily discount the current model and intro this at the previous price so you should find it for about $3000 in November, or you could wait for Black Friday and get the XBR3 for about half price as the new XBR4(?) will be out by then. |

Would you guys buy a TV over the internet from a website Yahoo Shooping gave you?
This website promises a Brand NEW 46" XBR3 free shipping NO tax. FOR ONLY $2774.50 SHIPPED THAT WOULD BE $1456.00 OFF THE ORIGINAL PRICE INCLUDING TAX. LET ME KNOW IF YOU GUYS THINK IT'S A GOOD IDEA OR NOT PLEASE. Athorized Electronics Yahoo! Shooping List Last edited by LxTxNx; 04-16-2007 at 04:33 AM. |

The overseas-spec BRAVIA X series for Europe and Asia are built in Japan 100% (unlike your XBR 2 & 3 which is made in Mexico = lower quality). So unless you're from Europe or in Asia, don't bother buying the BRAVIA X. You'd be better of with the flagship Aquos 1080p (the ones with 4ms response time) as those are STILL 100% JAPAN MADE. |
