Default Looking for shows to watch

I was wondering what new shows (or not so new) I could try ?
I could just ask for what shows you guys like but It would not tell me what I would like, so instead I'll tell you what shows I like and maybe you could diagnose other shows I could like.

Ok so I like: Prison break, Terminator the Sarah Connor Chronicles, Family Guy, The Simpsons, American Dad, The Clone Wars, The Reaper, 3rd Rock from the Sun and Married with Children.

Based on that, what other shows would you recommend ?

From what you've told me I think you might enjoy:

Fastlane
24
Clerks: Uncensored (animated series, not many episodes on DVD)
American Gothic

Some of these are older, but all are available on DVD.

Well it looks like you like a variety of shows, so I'll just list some that I think are the best (none of them are actually current though).

The West Wing -- I'll get this one out of the way first...you may not find it interesting because on the surface it appears to be about US politics, but that's like saying Grey's Anatomy is about working in a hospital (this isn't meant to imply that Grey's Anatomy is good...it's not) .... 7 seasons long, ended in 2006

Homicide: Life on the Streets -- a gritty crime/drama set in Baltimore; sort of the pre-cursor to The Wire, which is also recommended (H:LotS is based on a book by David Simon, about a year he spent following around the Baltimore police...Simon went on to create The Wire).... 7 seasons long, ended in 1999, there's also a movie that kind of wraps up the show

Six Feet Under -- I can't really explain this show, other than it's about a dysfunctional family; probably the most addicting show I've ever watched (I started watching it on DVD this summer, and would watch one episode after another....5 seasons long, ended in 2005, I think).

Twin Peaks -- a show written by David Lynch (Blue Velvet, Mulholland Drive, etc.) about an FBI agent investigating the murder of a teenage girl, but after he shows up in town, things start to get a little strange...only 2 seasons long, but has a movie that serves as a prequel to the show

Along with MIAMI VICE, CRIME STORY and THE SOPRANOS, these would be my all-time favorite shows.

Big Bang Theory is the best sitcom I've seen in years. It keeps me cracking up every episode.

I don't get the Firefly love. Only lasted one season, and I thought it was a letdown considering it was from Whedon, creator of Buffy and Angel. I know there are fans, but it's one of those things I don't "get" like the abundant love of all that is Star Trek. I do like some Trek stuff, but...
