Bruce Boxleitner has signed on to return in TRON 2.0

I'm very interested in the new Tron and it's great that they got Boxleitner back to play Tron. Anyone else stoked they are making this sequel?

Bruce Boxleitner has signed on to return in TRON 2.0, according to ComingSoon. Boxleitner played Alan Bradley, aka TRON, in the original 1982 Disney film Tron, and will reprise his role in the sequel. Previously announced, Jeff Bridges will reprise the role of Kevin Flynn, Olivia Wilde and Beau Garrett have also joined the cast. You might also notice that I called the film TRON 2.0, and not TR2N. Both the trades and IMDb have now adopted the new title, which makes me believe that Disney has finally come to their senses and have decided to return to the more logical sequel title.

In the original film, Bridges and Boxleitner joined forces to outmaneuver the master control program that held them captive in the virtual computer game. Not much is known about the story of the sequel, but some have speculated that Bridge’s character is no longer fighting the good fight.

I'm unsure about the sequel. But it does ensure a Blu-Ray release of the Original.

That's awesome news! Bruce Boxleitner was great in the first film! It'll be nice to finally see him and Jeff Bridges back in action, especially when Disney decides to add the very sexy Olivia Wilde to the cast!

Talk about a long time between sequels. Hope it is good. I liked the original and Bruce Boxleitner was great in the first one.

I am definitely excited about this. I think it is cool they are bringing back more original cast. If Jeff and Bruce are coming back I wonder if they will be bringing Cindy Morgan back.

Ok, this is one of my top sci-fi films... but I finally got used to the idea of a reboot and now this. Either way, I'm there. I loved the original cast.

Garrett Hedlund is cast in the lead. He played Brad Pitt's cousin in Troy and in Friday Night Lights and Four Brothers.

Garrett Hedlund is a great actor. Loved him in Four Brothers and Death Sentence. Can't wait to see him in Jeff Bridges' shoes in the sequel! The news keeps getting better and better!

Is Olivia Wilde "13" on House?

I've been playing Kingdom Hearts 2 on my BC 60GB PS3 for the past week or so and I just got to the Tron portion of the game (or at least the first Tron portion). So far it's been pretty cool. Maybe they should task the Kingdom Hearts writers for this sequel. That would make me feel a bit better about it.

I just hope they give the CGI a bit of a retro feel. End of Line.

I would like to see Bruce back in action. He was good in Tron, and liked him very much in Babylon 5.
