Panny 85u Settings - Is there a reason why I cant change the black levels as well as the HD size in my settings? The are both dimmed out - no access.

Nope - just a standard coax cable for cable reception. I'm getting a PS 3 tomorrow so at least that will be hooked up with HDMI.

thats pretty much your problem right there, you need to be using an HDMI or Component connection for best results.

yeah I have to admit - with 100 basic cable channels only 3 or 4 look decent. I guess i will have to find a decent cable box or Tivo HD.

I don't suppose you have an antenna laying around do you? (rabit ears)



you could connect and get over the air HD channels.

hd size can only be changed when viewing HD content. When you can change it, size 2 is the way to go. Size one has a slight crop to it. black levels the same reason. There is a good thread on here for calibration settings as well.
