Unfortunately, I was one of the many to be dooped by HD-Dud. So I have only been Blu for about a year. I can still remember the Best Buy sales agent that day we went with HD-Dud. To quote her, "There is very little difference between the two, just pick the one that has more movies that you like." And of course, one of my favorite movies, Children of Men, was only HD-DVD. I guess everything worked out in the end, but I'm stay waiting for a US release on Children of Men.

I was REALLY tempted to buy a HD-Dud player when they fell below $100 but I went with my instincts and just stayed blu. Good thing I did.

Ya I went blu on June 12th 2008. I bought the MGS4 PS3 bundle along with The Orphanage, Bullit and Juno on blu.

Ya I love Children of Men, also waiting for the US release but for the mean time I bought the Import version.

I had my first 2 Blu-ray disks in June of 2008, but did not have my Blu-ray player until around the middle of August of 2008.

Mine came with Talladega Nights and I bought Resistance and (I think) NHL 2007. My first Blu purchase was The Last Waltz, because I wanted to see if it was much better than DVD... even on a 13" tube TV - IT WAS!!!

I can relate. Only reason I went hd dvd was for ONE movie I had to have that blu did not have (I went blu in November 07, hd dvd about a year after): Transformers! Bought the DVD version of it....hoping that it would suffice....and it didn't,lol.

When hd dvd had officially announced they were done, Circuit City was having a sale on hd dvd players. I wanted a back up player for the 40 hd dvds I had accumulated in case my original player went to pot (which it did this past summer after I was trying to watch Carlitos Way....the one time I had turned the player on). So I drove to my nearest CC to get a back up player.....a day after we had a snow storm bury us with about 15" of snow and after being stuck in the house for 2 days straight because of the snow being bad, lol. I was one of the few that tempted to drive that day....very deserted and not all the stores were open.

I re bought the titles I wanted most for blu, packed up my remaining titles and my hd dvd player, and put them in the closet. Blu all the way.

First blu bought was X-Men:The Last Stand when it was first released on blu. First blu player was the 20Gb PS3 for the blu-ray capability....not the games....because at the time, it was the cheapest way to get a blu player. Later returned it for the 60GB version which I still have but I gave it to my son (this past August) for his dorm room.

Started buying Blu-ray discs on October 14, 2006. Ordered 6 titles then. Was up to 13 titles when I got my PS3 on Nov 21, 2006.
