The new Sub

I just had to share...

I got a new subwoofer from my wife for Xmas...a Polk (she's a good woman)

So when I put in Dark Knight and she makes the comment "I can feel the floor move"....

...the hairs stood up on my arm. I was a happy man.

I love my sub (and my wife)

Congratulations. You have a good wife. Make sure your sub is properly calibrated with the rest of your speakers. You don't want it to overpower your dialog and music. Also, you don't want to blow the subwoofer's driver with peak music. I have done that a few times in the past.

that's awesome! I hear you on the wifey comments. My wife finally agreed the other day that she now see's a huge difference in the pic quality of blu compared to dvd, and can also hear a sound difference....this after 1 year of trying to tell her she must be blind and def! anyway. it was a very good moment! I may not have to trade the wife in now : lol)

I am just trying to give hope out there....

I remember when I got the blu ray and plugged in Iron Man...her response was "wow..thats clear". That was a good thing to hear.

These comments come from a woman who has said she would be happy to watch tv on a 32in....ONLY a 32 in w/ no other attachments hooked to it. Of course everytime she wants to watch a movie...the response is "you can watch tv upstairs while I watch my movie downstairs". I then have to say "I thought you could just watch tv on a 32in". No response.

She likes it all..just doesnt want to admit any of it.

I did buy a sub some months ago wounder if anyone can help. But there is a "humming noize" before I switch it on.

anyone know why, I have dobble check every cable at least 10 times.
