i created that thread like a week ago, and as a result of the responses went out and bought it. 4 episodes in, i couldn't be happier with the choice i made

sidenote CircuitCity has the Blus for $50 this week, not as good as Best Buy's 37 but not as high as Amazon's 54 either.

I'm on my 4th disc and I would say yes about 2 minutes in on my 1st episode. This show is unbelievable and everything bounces off the screen on blu. I had never seen it before I got it as a Christmas gift, and I have been the absolute opposite of disappointed. Get. This. NOW.

I'd like to get hold of the HD DVD set to do my own comparison. Not that I'm disappointed with the BD set at all though. Just curious more than anything else. I'm sure the sound on the BD set is probably better though.

I just finished watching the last episode and have to agree that it was well worth watching.

Did anyone else find that the audio was often out of sync with the video? I tried running the sound from my receiver and from my tv in various configurations to try and correct this but nothing i did helped. It was particularly bad on the second disc. Check out the scene where Winter's has the piece of shrapnel removed from his leg

I'm experiencing the same lip-sync issue all over the place in episode 3. I think it's the only episode that has this issue. It probably is a bad disc, because of this reason and there are no lip-sync issues in any other Blu-ray I have watched. I have read posts from other web-sites mentioning this problem. Would there be a way to get a replacement disc from HBO? For those that have this problem, is it a setting that should be changed?

i blind bought this around the same time last year when it was at the excellent price of $38 i believe, and it was one of the best blind buys i ever made, love, love, love the series.
