Default Polk 6750 5.1 or Better Polk 3.1?

I am looking to purchase my speakers soon, and just wanted to get some opinions. I could either purchase the polk rm6750, and slowly upgrade, or get a nice monitor/tsi 3.1 and get some rears in a few weeks to complete my 3.1. Any suggestions? Will I still enjoy my blu rays on a 3.1 for now?

3.1, there is no need to prematurely ejaculate on some cheap HTiB type speakers only to upgrade right away. Get the 3.1 then add rears in a month or so and you will be much happier you did it that way.

i agree, if you buy the set now, then slowly upgrade, your gonna be stuck with those speakers and now you just wasted money. however, if you have another room to put the rm6750 set into (like your master bedroom), then maybe its not such a bad idea, but it sounds like your on a tight budget (who isnt?) so just buy the nice speakers right away and forget about the satalite set. 3.1 will not be that bad, especially since your only talking about a couple weeks. so basically, imo, dont wast your money on speakers you dont plan on keeping, and utilize that cash to go straight for what you want.

That's what I did. Went with a front stage and slowly upgraded. I could have gone for instant gradification, but I'm much more satisfied with what I have now, compared to the faster route.
