Is anything really worth the price?
I enjoy my Harmony One. I also enjoyed my Harmony 688. If I'm happy and it does everything I need it to do, then yes, it is worth it. If it did not do everything I want to it do, then no it is not. Personally, I think it is. |

Yes. The H1 is worth the price. Looks better than all the other Harmony Remotes and is easier to use. Feels good in the hand and the LCD touchscreen is great.

I just got mine from Amazon for under $200. They were running a special that included an additional $20 off with mail-in rebate, bringing the total price to somewhere in the neighborhood of $160. As far as value is concerned: "value" is a subjective term, especially in this context. If it does what you want it to do, and it didn't break the bank; does that make it worth the cost? You could probably get by with far less expensive remotes, but then you're not getting the features that the Harmony One provides...but maybe that's enough. It's all relative! I'd say if you're OK with spending $200 on a remote, the Harmony One is a good value and quite possibly the last remote you'll need for a long time. |

I don't think you will regret buying it, but it may be overkill for what you are needing it for. Harmony 550 works great for my setup. |

I just picked one up from Circuit city for 30% off msrp ($175). All i can say is it's well worth the money. Once I set everything up and pressed "watch a movie" and my Blu-ray player, TV and AV receiver all turned on and it turned off my Directv receiver I was thrilled. Then I tweaked it even more with creating my own touch screen buttons to change my AV selection on my Kuro and another button to change my listening presets on my Onkyo receiver. Now I've gone from four remotes to one. I highly recommend this remote to anyone who has a home theater and hates fumbling through many remotes.

Love it. I now have one remote to control my:
TV Direct TV Xbox 360 Apple TV PS3 Home Theater system And i have all my activities set up so it knows which device to power up and inputs to select depending on if I want to watch TV with or without the home theater, watch a movie on apple TV, play a 360 game, or watch a blu ray movie on my PS3. Just make sure your components are in the Harmony database. You can check this at logitech's website. |

Nyko Blu Wave remote. $20 at Fry's or Best Buy or Amazon. It's an infrared remote that comes with a usb dongle. You don't need the bundled remote. In the Harmony setup it's listed under Game Console w/ DVD. A little tweaking of the button layouts but works like a charm. Do some searching here and you'll find lots of discussion.
Only thing it won't do is turn on your PS3. But not a problem since you need to put in a disc anyway. And you CAN turn off your PS3 with it. Just exit out to the XMB, scroll all the way to the left and choose "Shut down" |

I love my harmony One. It is awesome, and does everything I would want it to do. I even downloaded channel icons for favorite channels. It is definitely better than my 520 both in build quality and utility. I can actually control all the features of my dish vip722 dvr, never had enough buttons for the dvr or pip functions with the 520.

yes, I have the Harmony One and it Rocks! Takes a little time to set up but so do most univ. remotes. Cnet also ranks it as their best reviewed remote i believe. The only thing mine doesnt do is turn off my ps3. But i can live with that considering how easy it makes everything else. Highly recommended.

here's my two cents worth, i just got my harmony 1 and set it up less than 2 days ago. i had 7, count'em, 7 remotes for all of my stuff---ALL GONE! this thing works like i couldn't have dreamed it would. the macro's all work great, i switch between hd-dvd to blu-ray to xbox360 with no more than two taps of my finger from one remote. it even controls my monoprice 5x1 hdmi switcher. it looks great, even my daughter and her mother like it. and of course i don't have to worry about all those batteries. i set it in the craddle and it's charged. i am going to buy and extra battery as a spare for the future. let me tell you it's worth every dime! i am kicking myself for waiting this long! RUN don't walk to go and get one! No problems, worked right and i love the level of detail you can do with the programing of the macro's! hope this helps.
