Default Batman 3 Planned for 2011

Ah, more batman news. I'm sure some people are interested

Michael Uslan, producer of The Dark Knight and the upcoming sequel, says the next Batman should hit theaters around 2011. It also appears he may have an idea of who the next villains and/or love interest will be, but of course he's not telling anyone.

That's pretty much the summary of the interview, but if you want to check it out in it's entirety: http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=52278

If confirmed, it makes sense and/or is not surprising considering there was three years in between "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight" as well.

Most series from Hollywood are usualy in 3 years period with some few exception that have a 2 years wait.

Holy . That is going to be a huge year for movies.

Anyways, with this news, hopefully we will hear that Nolan will be returning because he is the true soul of the recent Batman success. I will see it regardless but if Nolan is involved, Batman 3 could be the biggest movie of the year

either that or the market gets to flooded and they dont make as much as they should. Batman 3= Winter release. Same with The Hobbit and Potter will be an August release.

You don't think The Hobbit could break some records? That's the one I'm most interested in and probably the only I will actually go see in theaters. I think it's most likely to be the one to grab a few oscars.

Great news indeed!!

Thanks for posting the update...

I am eager to find out who the next villain will be and most importantly who will be portraying him/her...

Nolan's choices have been controversial but the results have been awesome in both films!

Default Next BATMAN in 2011 (?)

Found this today on www.thedarkhorizons.com -

Uslan Plans next Batman in 2011 - The Movie Blog - January 26, 2009 8:54 AM

Michael Uslan is officially the only person signed on for the next Batman movie, though many are confident that Bale and Nolan will return.

So the first bit of official news comes from the only guy with a contract a la Bat. The plan is to have Batman sequel out in 2011

www.ComingSoon.com says:

Uslan will be onboard as executive producer for the “Dark Knight” sequel, which he estimates will be theaters by 2011. As for the identity of the next round of Batman’s supervillains and love interests, Uslan remains tight-lipped. “It’s one of those deals where if I told you, I’d have to kill you,” he says with a chuckle.

I have no doubt that Christian Bale will return as Batman/Wayne. In the previous big screen series they thought to “James Bond” the character allowing different actors to take on the role and while that series got worse and worse as each film came out, I don’t think the rotating Batman actors was the cause.

However this new franchise seems to be breaking the sequel curse offering up a rare better film for the second chapter, and they will have some big shoes to fill to make an even better third, so I would think they would keep with the winning formula and go from there.

With the plan for a new film in 2011, this leaves them plenty of time to get it right. I expect we will hear more soon.

Post # 317 probably, on this, right?
