Default Perfectdark HT

Just started, got my Optoma projector mounted and pull down screen.

Future upgrades

Motorized Screen
Definetly want (NEED) to get rid of that RCA HTIB and get a decent surround sound

Hard to have a HT when your sharing the basement with a 2 year old and a 5 year old

thanks for looking

I was at a Jo-ann's fabric store recently, and they sell headliner, speaker clothe, etc.... for DIRT CHEAP..... if you want an inexpensive, but non-permanent solution to reflective surfaces (such as your ceiling) I'd suggest some speaker-clothe material, pulled tight, and probably just some double-sided tape on the ceiling channels to hold it in place........ Small time/money investment will probably yield pretty noticeable results.

Cool, the more projection set-ups I see, the more I want one for myself. It seems so obvious to go projection as it offers the biggest size! I also have an RCA HTiB (the lowest one the market) that I need to rid myself of. Someone offered to buy it after I upgraded.. but I'd never let anyone pay money for it. Keep your collection growing.

I haven't noticed any... the pics dont do it justice... My projector mount's arm comes down about a foot from the ceiling so its not as close as the pics seem

need a few ideas

I can't make too many changes
1) i share the basement with my 2 year old and 5 year old
2) no $$$

What i'm looking to do is mount the surround speakers somewhere without making the room look ghetto
also, in my upstairs beedrooms (2nd floor) (my HT is basement -1 floor) i can hear the movies, the sound is echo-ing thru the heating vents...... anyway to stop this? without blocking off the heating vent?
