Default Juggernaut (1974). Anyone seen it?

Question: Juggernaut (1974)? Anyone seen it? Your thoughts? Great film or flop. The best disaster film ever? Forgotten failure?

Richard Harris, Aathony Hopkins, Ian Holm, a doomed cruise ship. No one's seen it?

I saw it a long time a go, and from what I remember, it's a decent film. I wouldn't say it was the best disaster movie ever, but I don't consider it a failure either. It had decent casting too, including a very young Anthony Hopkins. I recall Julian Glover being in that too...he was Richard Harris's boss in that if I remember right...

It was well balanced, and didn't fell exploitive. Sound editing and solid performances, that excludes two-thirds of most disaster flicks. At least to me.

The film grows on multiple viewings. And it made me feel complete, as only good dramas do. So to me, the film is a forgotten gem.

it's all right. compared to most of its ilk it certainly is in the upper echelon for the period.

This was a pretty good movie but I never looked at it like one of the big, epic disaster films of the 70's either. Never felt like that to me. Richard Harris is always great and I'd watch pretty much anything with him in it.

Kind of similar movie that I enjoyed more is Ffolkes with Roger Moore.
