Six Sense was great. Signs was alright. But, everything else was just rubbish. Ok Unbreakable had some potential to be good and fell short.

I disagree. I have enjoyed all of his movies except for The Happening. The Happening should never have been made.

since then he has proven himself to be a hack that got lucky...

I'd say he went downhill when he made Lady in the Water. I really enjoyed The Village and Signs.

I've enjoyed all of his movies.. which is why I still have not figured out how The Happening came to be. It just seems so unlike anything he'd do. It's like Tim Burton turned into Michael Bay.

All his movies follow the same scheme: suspenseful situations, unexplained events, a final twist!

No wonder Robot Chicken makes fun of him all the time...

I liked Sixth Sense, but Unbreakable, Signs, the Village... same story, different situations...

He would do well to direct an adaptation of someone else's work. The writing is where the problem lies.

i agree. I cannot stand his movies of late, but i do like 6th sense and Signs, anything else is pure poo IMO.

I've enjoyed all his movies so far, and that includes "Wide Awake" and "Stuart Little". I think there are too many people here that hate movies for no good reason other than they read someone else doesn't like it.

He is definately a hit or miss director. Either he creates a masterpiece or complete crap.
