Why aren't the steelbook blu-rays released in the USA?

There are the James Bond series that are released here.. but that's all I know.

I would imagine because movies probally sell more over here. And sometimes need gimicks to sell overseas. I know thats why alot of 360 gave away free faceplates and stuff like that with the purchase of games overseas.

In Canada, the reason we were given is that Future Shop wants to break the loyalty people have to their stores, A&B Sound, HMV, etc... People get attached to their small stores too, and don't want to give business to the big ******* on the market

if you go to best buy they have alot of movies in Steelbook form ... alot of them are Independent flicks or low budget movies but they look pretty good

I thought it was because the factories that actually make the steel books are based in Europe.
