Bug in SW Ver 1.70? - Blu-ray Forum

Hi All,

I'm a first time poster, yet a long-time lurker. I've been having audio playback issues ever since SW update 1.70, and I wonder if I'm alone in this or if anyone else has experienced this.

Since the update, I get no audio from anything I download from the PS store (game demos/movie trailers, etc.). Also, there is no more sound from any old PS2 games. PS1 and PS3 games are OK. Also, all DVDs (BD/SD) are OK.

It's just with store downloads and PS2 titles. Anyone can confirm there is a bug affecting just these two areas? It's minor, yet irritating! Thanks.

BTW . . . I have tried flipping the audio setting from Bitstream to PCM, neither choice makes a difference.

Receiver is a Sony STR-DG1000. Whole setup is HDMI.

Please list some of these PS2 games you are having issues with.

[FONT="Arial"]The PS2 games I've tested are Gran Turismo 4, SSX Snowboarding and Super Bust A Move 2[.

BTW, I also remembered the audio has dropped out from the Folding@Home utility. I miss my flowing ocean waves noise!

I haven't had this problem. There are some audio issues with some PS2 games, but I haven't heard of "no audio" on PS2 games. Sorry.

I havent had one problem at all.....guitar hero works great on the PS3 (buy the pelican adapter if anyone is wondering) as does other games.....trailers work fine, as do demos.....

Sounds like non dolbydigital things are affected. Go back through your dashboard and make sure all the appropriate checkmarks are selected under "audio".
