My mom is a fan of this show. I have only seen a couple episodes but I will prob get the blu-ray to show her how the quality of blu-ray improves. To get her hooked to other blu-ray's.. I am hoping for a season 2 release too. Good Show even though I don't watch it regularly

I believe they will release Season 3 on BD and DVD in August (a couple of weeks before Season 4 begins) since that is the way it has gone in the past. So if we get Season 3 in August or around there... I would imagine that we'll get Season 2 sometime between then and now.

His difficulties multiply when evidence of his deadly after-hours activities begin to surface and the FBI is brought in to investigate the city's new serial killer dubbed the "Bay Harbor Butcher." Dexter cant pause for a breathe as the noose tightens and the questions keep mounting. Will he be able to continue his serial-killing ways? Or will Dexter's dark past finally be uncovered?

After a DVD release this past August, Dexter - The 2nd Season now comes to high-defintion Blu-ray Disc on May 5th, according to the studio announcement this morning from Showtime and Paramount Home Entertainment. All 12 episodes will be provided in widescreen 1080p high-def video, English 5.1 Dolby TrueHD audio. There will also be a Spanish language audio option, and English subtitles as well. The running time is 636 minutes.

In addition to that, trade journal Home Media Magazine reports on Page 8 of their newest print edition that it will be a 3-BD set costing $57.99 SRP (just three dollars more than the first season on Blu-ray). They go on to say that it will have BD-live bonus material that includes Podcasts, a "Blood Fountains" Featurette, a "Dark Defender" series (based on the comic book character-type "story-within-a-story" seen in Dexter episodes), and bonus episodes of two other Showtime programs: Nurse Jackie and the excellent United States of Tara.

Below we have an EARLY look at possible box art for this release. It could be temp art, though, provided to retailers as a placeholder for the final packaging design. So don't take this as "guaranteed" yet. Still, it's similar to what we saw with Dexter's first season BD release (the DVD key art moved onto a Blu-ray box), so there's a good chance that this is what you'll see on store shelves in May:

My Dexter Season 2 Blu-ray box has disc 2&3 without sound when trying to play episodes.Showtime trailer is with sound,menus have sound but not the episodes.
Disc 1 is OK.I have USA version ( Deepdiscount is the seller ).Anyone else with this problem ????

Anyone bought this one and could confirm discs are OK ?? I've bought two different sets and on both there's no sound on discs 2 & 3.Season 1 and disc 1 of the second season plays fine.I just don't get it.I've even send an mail to Showtime and got stupid reply ( you could return and refund, nothing why discs don't work).And I would like to know where did you buy them !
