Are the first 4 batman's with a release date of 12/22 going to be region coded?

Batman all four "origional" films are confirmed to be region free and good for import. you can get from amazon.co.uk or direct link after searching on this site if you adjust your preferences to show uk hits.

Any idea why the Batman Legacy box set would be missing Batman Begins?!! Seems silly not to include it in the boxset.

Batman Begins is a reboot of the franchise, so it makes sense that it's not included.

Since these are supposed to come out next week, do we at least have confirmation that they're not going to be canceled/delayed at the last minute?

It's Warner so nope. I will be reporting on the PQ for at least the first 2 when i get them on Monday.

I don't know of any cuts that where made by the BBFC

When you get Returns, see if there is still the scene where Catwoman puts the spray cans in the microwave to cause an explosion. I believe that was previously cut by the BBFC.

According to Amazon.co.uk, the set's been pushed back to June 15th 2009...

Guess I'll have to import the boxset from the US.

WTF!!!!, I had that pre ordered through them because I could get it for less than the U.S. version and in the same time frame. Damn it

yea that blows...oh well....I still think 40 or 50 dollars (if that truly turns out to be the difference) is worth it.

I'm sincerly gutted because tonight I managed to sell my 8 DVD Anthology Boxset on eBay and thought I'd use the money to upgrade to Blu-ray.

Strange since the individual titles are out. Its just a matter of putting a cardboard wrapper on the 4 titles.

Which makes me wonder why you guys arent just buying the four titles?

lets see. Buying indiviudally to U.S. is $22 per title. That's $88 for the full set.

Right now the box set in USD is $49.77, let me see.....

errr why not just buy the only two good movies ('89 and Returns) and give the last two films the finger? If you're a completionist, I understand getting the box set. Otherwise, you're just spending money for the sake of spending money IMO.

However, if you actually WANT to sit through Forever and Batman & Robin, you're probably a sadist as well.

Will there be a Warner 20th anniversary release for the Batman triology, with a retransfer, maybe? The reason to why I ask is because Im considering buying all the old movies on BD, already got "Batman Returns"

Or will they maybe delay it to a 25th anniversary? I couldnt find anything at W.Bs homepage or anything.
