In our "Calm Before the Storm" edition, a few titles are trickling out that will hopefully catch some additional sales the week after when people go on buying binges...

I'm sure there are those who enjoy these titles, and although they add to the total count, they're hardly what's going to help Sony win this format war.

I am considering The Fountain. However, I am planning to rent it first bacause I've read too many bad reviews about this flick.

It's none of the above for me. The Fountain is tempting, but I am giving Warner too much of my money already with my recent purchase of Scooby Doo and my pre-orders in for Blood Diamond and Flags of our Fathers. They still have yet to show me that they are willing to give us Blu-ray owners anything other than rubbish low bit-rate VC-1 ports from HD DED, so the fact that they are even getting those sales from me is a miracle. Since I have no interest in the Sony title, my money will gladly remain in the bank until THE BIG DAY.
