Replacement Killers on BD

Anyone heard of Replacement Killers coming to BD? I think Antoine Fuqua and BD would be a serious match.

I've seen it on lists for the UK this year, but those tend not to be too accurate. I hope it does come since this is one of my fave pure action flicks.

I get updates daily from my distributor and to date it has not been added but they add new titles almost every week for this summer so it is a possiblity-they just added about 4 or so titles today. I have a section called Newly Announced Blu-Ray Titles on this forum that I will be updating-they just announced Fifth Element, Arlington Road, Final Fantasy, Are We Done Yet

Just finished watching this disc and im really happy with the AVC tranfer but the PCM audio track is killer.

The DVD was very grainey with IIRC edge enhancment etc, but while the BD retains the film grain, the image is quite clean and detailed. Not the best disc for PQ (but it still looks like proper HD), and i didnt expect to be but its still a very good release.

The audio just shakes the room, this has to be a must import for the overseas BD fans. The Gun shots just shake your skull, very entertaining at high volume, though the neighbors wont be that pleased.

Hi I've just finished watching Replacement Killers & it was awesome.

However I did have problems with the disc loading, the first time I put it in it rejected the disc & said it could not be played, I took it out & gave it a wipe still no joy on the 3rd attempt it loaded, very strange !!

I have a Samsung BD-P1000 with the latest firmware, the disc was all regions,
the only film I had a similar problem with was Gone in 60 Seconds when a similar thing happened.
Both were new discs by the way not rented any ideas anyone?

Yes the movie was released by Sony Home Entertainment in the UK, the cover art appears to be different to the US not sure why.

As for being grainy it is in parts but I think that was just the effect required by the film maker also I'm not sure where the extended part is it seemed to be very similar to the SD version from what I can remember.

I got one...it has the worst PQ i've seen since some of the first Blu-Rays!!!!!

It looks like Sony ported the last DVD transfer over to the Blu-Ray and said "To hell with it."

But I still love the movie. Maybe Sony will redo this one some other time.

This movie was pretty good, I'll still pick it up, I just wish they would release hard boiled seperate from the stranglehold game.

Well hopefully Weinstein will go ahead and put Hard Boiled out separately. I'm just waiting on them to announce Grindhouse.

You know I never thought about it, but thats further proof that weinstein has gone neutral, because they allowed hard boiled on a Blu-ray.....this is very good indeed. And yes I'm waiting for the Grindhouse announcement as well.

This was the movie that got me into electronic dance music (my absolute favorite genre). I remember being wowed by "Keep Hope Alive" at the beginning.

Haven't seen the film since that day in theaters. Should give it a rent.

i own it on dvd, and was glad with the transfer on DVD as it is. but on BD, this film has potential in Hi def. i will be picking it up on Thursday. Thanks for the link.
