Default HD DVD ships with Fed-Ex

I just started working at Fed-Ex last week and unloaded an HD DVD display package. Of course being the loyal BR supporter I am I quickly and discretely ruined the display by "accidentally" crushing it with a heavier box. All loyal BR supporters need to boycott shipping with Fed-Ex.

Just kidding about ruining the packager and boycotting Fed-Ex, but I'm sure an HD DVD fanboy would have ruined a BR display.

Funny, there are rumors that HD DVD/Toshiba has secured display spaces at Best Buy, they put up the extra $$$$ to pay BB for the space ( they are already doing it at Circuit City) because of the rebate sale coming up.

I work at Best Buy and have seen this annoying display put up this week. It has the guy who does movie trailers doing the voiceover (I can never remember his name). I can tolerate it only by adding lines in my head as I hear it over and over and over. He'll say something like:

"I'm here to tell you about a perfect world...."

"With virtually no studio support...."

"With nary a player to choose from...."

"And copy protection?....what copy protection?"

What's really amusing is just five feet away, on the racetrack off to the side is a rolling sled with one whole side filled with Blu-ray movies, complete with permanent signage touting the advantages of Blu.

I work for Purolator, and I saw 2 of the new hybrid HD-DVD/Blu-ray players come down my line about 2 days ago.

I can't believe it's come to this point that we have dual-players now.

I have no idea, my best guess is probably Best Buy since that is really the only place that sells HD DVD & BR in Fargo. I didn't look at the tag just saw the big letters on the box that said HD DVD DISPLAY. Would've looked but I was too damn busy trying to unload 4 1/2 trailers in 4 hours.

OFF TOPIC:
For anyone that wants to lose weight: Work at Fed Ex unloading trailers. I lost 10 pounds in my first 2 weeks and I'm in good shape. It sucks though working 3:30-7:30 in the morning, but @ $10/hr its good pay for a college student.

The good thing is at least this so called format war has been a peaceful monetary format war. No one from either side has gone nuts and treating it like a real war. The format war should be made into an interesting comedy movie. In the comedy you would see Sony have an army and Toshiba having an army and they are targeting each others factories with military strategies. It could be a comedy like the old Airplane movies, of course very few people would understand the humor over the format war. The BLU-RAY Camp versus the HD-DVD camp war movie.

Isn't this a Federal offense?

Well, I've made the comparison to WWII where the enemy had the first strike, but the "sleeping giant" got moving and eventually overwhelmed the enemy. Germany/Japan = Toshiba/MS. Allies: Sony, Panasonic, Pioneer, etc.
