Default Pirates Not Working On Pioneer Elite BDP-HD1 - FIXED

I saw a few posts about POTC not working on a few players.

I just picked-up POTC 1 & 2 and neither one is working.

Anyone else with a Pioneer Elite BDP-HD1 going through this?

If you haven't already, here's the link for the latest firmware upgrade. Hopefully that does the trick!

I believe this was reported by a few places (Bill Hunt makes mention of it in his Pirates reviews at thedigitalbits.com) and it was stated that a firmware upgrade is all that's needed... though Bill Hunt said it was only needed for the bonus disc (as he seemed to have no problems with the movies themselves on the BDP-HD1):

I should note here that Liar's Dice required a firmware update to my Pioneer BDP-HD1, a beta version of which Pioneer was kind enough to provide for this review (the public release will happen in the next couple of days - we'll post the link here when it's online). Before the firmware update, the game was extremely glitchy, but afterwards it worked almost flawlessly. Just be aware that your particular brand of player may also need firmware updating in order to function properly with the game.

Thumbs up

Hey, thank you for your replies.

I did download the firmware, burn it to a DVD Disc and install it on my Elite BDP-HD1. Works fine now!

At first I still didn't think it was working but it just took a while to load the disc.
