Just saw Pirates 3

Has this opened in the USA yet? Maybe in 12 hours or so?

Pretty good movie, but seemed to lack plot and go a lot of different places. You never know whos loyalties are where (overdone). Left open for a sequel once again. Graphics were incredible, as always. Hard to tell what's CGI and what's not much of the time.

Was that old pirate guy who kept the code book supposed to be Jack's father? That never really made sense to me. And why did they decide to clean up Jack's teeth? Too bad!

I saw Spiderman 3 at its opening, and the theater was 2/3 full for that here in Korea. This opening was packed to the rafters. I have no doubt it will shatter the asia record recently set by Spiderman 3.

The only thing that would keep it from doing so is that it's almost a 3 hour movie, so the theaters are limited in how many times they can show it per day. I think they have at least 8 screens showing it in Seoul today (and maybe up to 12... can't remember).

Actually it doesn't come as a big surprise that the plot wasn't that good and overdone (after Spiderman 3 I was trying not to get my expectations up too much). Still, I can't wait to see it tomorrow

How has this come out overseas first? US doesn't get first releases anymore?

Spiderman 3 opened here a few days early. This one appears to open on the same day, but we're about 13 hours ahead of US Central Time, so that's probably why.

By the way, I love the beach scene in the end where you get to see a major female character's leg and bare foot. Cute. haha

They've started to release movies a couple days, sometimes a week or two early, in a few contries over there known for pirating, and coutries around those countries, in an effort to stop piracy.

I have a question and I would like an honest answer. I don't care about spoilers. Are any of the main characters killed? Davy Jones? What about Johnny Depp or Kiara or Orlando?

It'll be for sale in the subway and at Yongsan regardless (as well as a million other places here in Korea) within a day, if it isn't already.
