Default Moving into my new home, need help on my Home Theater

I'll be moving into my new home next month, the builder has done the pre-wiring for my home theater.

I'm new to setting up home theaters up, and could use all the help I can get.

The builder has dropped 2 wires in the back and 3 at the front. (ALL in the ceiling)

Now my question is what kind of a system do I need for this. I have been looking all over and haven't seen any systems with 3 speakers mounted to the ceiling at the front. I've seen 2 front/back with a center above the tv, but not 3.

Here's what I'm looking to set up with my surround.

67" Samsung HL67A750
Yamaha RX-V665 Receiver
Xbox 360
Panny DMP-BD35 Blu Ray Player
Cable Box

Now I'm looking at the Polk R7's but I'm unsure how I'd go about setting this up. Do I get 5 R7's (3 front/2 back) with a center and a subwoofer??

Please Help

Start by having your builder drop 2 more wires for the side surrounds and if you have no enclosed walls on the sides, have him drop them in the back...... Also you'll want a subwoofer cable ran to every wall just to be safe.

You'll probably want to install a wall-outlet for the speaker connections to give you more flexibility if you don't plan on doing in-walls (or maybe in addition to in-walls)

Run Optical, HDMI, component, COAX, Ethernet, ETC ETC.... every cable you can think of..... you can never be too prepared.

When you say three in the front, you're talking about L/R/C correct? You plan on going in-wall or bookshelf/towers or what?

If you are doing a projector now, or possibly in the future, have them run the electrical outlet in the ceiling now..... with the HDMI/Component/Optical etc etc.

I've asked the builder about dropping additional wires but unfortunately he says its too late, (probably because he doesn't want to bother with it)

There are 3 drops at the front, but they are in the ceiling and I know that the center speaker is always supposed to be directly in front of the viewing area. They way they have dropped it, it looks like they expected 3 speakers at the front to be mounted to the ceiling and 2 and the back to be mounted to the ceiling

By the way I was gonna get these speakers

http://www.amazon.com/Polk-Audio-Satellite-Speaker-Single/dp/B00108OLTM/ref=pd_bbs_sr_3?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=12373185 65&sr=8-3

I originally planned on doing 2 at the front and back mounted to the ceiling, with a center place directly above tv (not ceiling)

But when I saw that third wire in the ceiling it just completely threw me off lol.

It also doesn't hurt to even run extra cable and speaker wire along with every run being used for your equipment, in case you ever have problems with the original, the extra cable/wire will be right there and easily accessible.

Is the drywall installed already? If not, you can go in after hours and run the additional wiring that you want/need. That is if the builder won't do it. However, if you are paying him, he should be able to do it.

Also, did you provide the speaker wire or did he. If they did, it is probably cheap 18 or 20 AWG wire. I know when I did construction many years ago, we usually ran cheap wiring for the homes unless the customer specifically requested it. This is commonly know as "builders-grade."

Drywall is already in, and the builder supplied the wire. This sucks, I may have to just hide that 3rd drop on the ceiling at the front and run my own wire from the receiver up behind the tv for the center speaker.

I'm assuming this would be the best bet instead of mounting the center to the ceiling and aiming it towards the viewing area..
