Personally I like RE5 by far. I finished it today and it was extremely entertaining.

RE5 for me,

it was a hard choice for me between RE4 and RE5, i love all the games but the story is a little better in RE4 but the gameplay and replay value is way better in RE5

RE4 as it basically moved the franchise forward

RE2 is real close 2nd for me as the replay value was high (Tofu - that's AWESOME)

Has to be the first, the one that started it all - when I got it back in '96 I'd never experienced anything like it in a video game before, atmosphere, action & terror!
