Default Blu-ray super burner $199.00 at Newegg

I could have put this in the Hot deals section but I think it would serve this thread better. Heres the link http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...L0E-_-27136137

Plays all formats including the defunct aka dead HD-DVD format, and since its PC based it will also play HD-WMV formats (I happen to have some 1080p HD-WMV Imax films - Amazon still sells these) this is why I like having my BD player in my PC.

Free media is included with a purchase

Also - Pioneer has an 8x drive for $199.99... minus the HD DVD:

I'm looking into getting one for an external enclosure.

Both the OP and the dadkins post above mine are good news. This might be a good option for me for my upstairs/master bedroom HTPC when I build it. I'd get to consolidate greatly if I didn't need a standalone BD player. Wouldn't save a lot of money really, but I'd get the added bonus of backing up all my family videos and pictures on a couple discs.

That's a great burner. My friend uses it and he has never made a coaster yet even with RiDATA lol. Actually, it was $179 a couple of days ago.

I'm thinking about getting the Pioneer 8x burner though as I like their DVD burners.
