(Live Action) Wonder Woman Looks for a Director (again) - Blu-ray Forum

A few weeks ago, we told you that the live action Wonder Woman film set up over at WB and Silver Pictures had been picking up speed as of late. Last we heard they were on the hunt for new writers and were taking pitches.

Now, we've gotten another tidbit of news from this long dormant franchise, looks like WB and Silver Pictures are now looking for a director. The studios are enthusiastically working together to attach elements to the film to get it up and going quickly.

Finally, this movie is seeing some action! Been waiting for this and it's been on the back burner for quite some time now, it's good to see it finally moving along.

I remember this being talked about sometime last year, but since the project is starting to pick up speed again, I'm curious as to who everyone thinks would now make a good lead...

Finding a good actress that fit's the body type of Wonder Woman will not be easy, she need's to have a certain height as well.

Yes Lucy Lawless as the physical attributes to play this amazone princess.

Ummm, maybe. Has she had an "augmentation" perhaps? I know on TV and cartoons, Wonder Woman was somewhat "Blessed" so to speak.

How about Angelina Jolie? Already has done work in action movies and we all know how "blessed" she is......

Unless she wanted to bulked up, Angelina is way too skinny to be Wonder Woman, she need's to put some meat on her and cover her bones

they're not going to get someone who looks like amazon they're going to get a hot actress who looks good in the uniform. i hope they give linda carter some sort of role in it, maybe as her mother. i wouldn't mind megan fox in the role.i know i'll get blasted for this but keri russell already did the voice why not give her a shot.

As much as I love Angelina Jolie, I think she's too identified w/ the Lara Croft character. I think we need a fresh face for WW -- like Brandon Routh was for Superman.

As far as someone else's comment that Jolie is too skinny - here frame is just that way, lanky. There's been a lot of actresses that have not really had the right build to pull off a lot of the action sequences they play (except Lucy Lawless), like X-men, the Charlie Angel's movies, even Anne Hathaway in Get Smart, etc. So I don't think that's too big of an issue. She just has to be somewhat taller than average and what's more important is that she has to have great screen presence so as to come across Amazonian-like. I don't know if that makes sense, but what I'm saying is that she's got to be beautiful in a stunning, classic way (not bimbo-ish). Ok, sounds like I'm describing Linda Carter! Ok, just my 2 cents.

Maybe Jolie could play the Queen Mom -- that would be awesome!

Bleh. No way. She's too skinny, not attractive, and has waaaay too many tatoos to play Wonder Woman.

Well she is perharps not as "big" as what he depicted in the comics but she is still not a small woman

she does fill out her Xena costume rather well
