Yep, it's coming from Sony Home Entertainment. They are working on it at the moment. It is scheduled to be released this October. No exact date yet though.

But it's supposed to be quite a loaded edition. I wonder if they are preparing it for Blu-ray too as well. Would be nice to see it.

I'm so psyched about this! I'm sure we won't see a BD of it, but at this point I'm just happy to see it getting released. The last time I saw it was about a year-or-so ago on Monsters HD (R.I.P.) and it looked great. Even if it's DVD only, it will still look better than VHS!

Yeah, a Blu release is very possible. Maybe with Monster Squad on the same day.

They would have to convince Lionsgate to release Monster Squad on Blu-ray. They said the transfer for Night of the Creeps is amazing and is far superior to the one they did for Monster Squad. It was mentioned that Monster Squad was shot anamorphically which softens the focus.

But it would be great to see Monster Squad on Blu-ray.

Been wanting to see this for years, finally got the chance too thanks to Germany and it did not disappoint. One of the best films I have ever seen and Detective Cameron is definitely a new favourite, what a performance from Atkins!

Lol. I came in here thinking there was a new version and in the works. So glad they did release it as I never thought I would see the day it came to DVD. I remember signing so many damn petitions for it.

I'm from the UK and no one could confirm if the US release was region free but that is when I discovered Germany had their own release on BD in my region. Apparently Germany was where the film did best theatrically, too. The more I learn about the country the more it seems like some sort of film buff paradise.
