Unhappy Need help?!?!

Ok So I went online to HP and I bought their computer and I customized it.
I ordered the blu-ray reader/writer

I got it today and i bought 2 movies. I put them both in and it starts, like 10 second after it starts it stops the movie and I get a message saying

The Content is protected.
The Content is not allowed to play in the current display mode.

Whats going on? Is it thinking that im trying to record the movie? I called their customer service and the told me oh its because I dont have it hooked up with hdmi.. Im like dude Its an hdtv monitor and its hooked up with dvi. So now Im stuck and Im trying to find a solution. Btw the software that Im using is what came with the computer which is HP media smart dvd.

You have to select one display or the other... can't have both trying to display the movie.

One only!

Some HDMI to DVI cables don't properly pass on the HDCP token or aren't properly compliant and can cause this issue. Can you not do an all-hdmi connection?

This is why I got BD form the factory VAIO laptops.
BDs play, period! On their own displays and on a HDTV by simplay plugging in the HDMI cord.
