Default Are there any device that can record hd show without paying service fee?

That is not pc. I had dishnetwork hd, but i wonder what device can record hd shows without paying service fee.

Your best bet would probably be waiting for Blu-ray recorders to hit the US market. There are DVD recorders out there with hard drives built in, but I don't know of any that accept any HD signal (component or HDMI). Or maybe you could import a Blu-ray recorder.

thx for the info, so blu-ray recorder can record shows like vcr? but don't you need a cable receiver that accept the blu-ray recorder?
