Friday the 13th Remake Blu-ray Revealed
Posted April 17, 2009 03:30 PM by Josh Dreuth
New Line Home Entertainment in conjunction with Warner Home Video has announced that they will bring the 2009 remake 'Friday the 13th: Killer Cut' to Blu-ray on June 16th, day-and-date with the DVD release. The title, which includes both the theatrical and extended "killer cut" of the film via seamless branching, will be presented in 1080p VC-1 accompanied by a 5.1 Dolby TrueHD soundtrack.

Extras for this release include:
Terror Trivia Track (BD Exclusive)
Hacking Back/Slashing Forward (BD Exclusive)
The 7 Best Kills (BD Exclusive)
BD-Live
Explore the Rebirth of Jason Voorhees
Additional Slashed Scenes
Digital Copy
The DVD copy will feature either the theatrical version or the extended cut (not both) and only two special features, making the Blu-ray much more appetizing to those fans of the horror series
Makes you wonder if this will convince any horror fans on the fence to switch, doubt it though.

I'll get this once it drops underneath $20.00. Not my favorite Jason film at all.. but worth owning if you're a Jason Vorhees completist.

Good reboot of the franchise. It needed it after all the terrible sequels.

Glad to see the extended cut is signifigant. 9 extra minutes is nice. Also, nice extras.

You mean the 8 movies that came after the second one? Freddy vs Jason was pretty good, but not what I'd call a sequel.

Day 1 for me.

It was a great reboot imo. Glad to see some extra footage on the killer cut.

Bay did say they cut some boobs and blood from the theatrical cut. So that's something to look forward to.

I saw the movie in theaters, and I have to say, it's one of the worst movies I think I've ever seen. Definitely a pass

You are doing the same threadcrapping, toughguy. He is just expressing his view of an otherwise decent movie.

I'm a moderator(not here) and I have no idea what threadcrapping means, best guess is posting in a topic just to attack the focus of the topic. O/T, I think this will make for an even better blu than the original Friday the 13th movie did.

Maybe not the worst movie I've ever seen, but really bad none the less. Just when I thought characters in a horror flick couldn't get any dumber, this comes along.

I'll still pick it up though, Julianna Guill's breasts on blu ray will be worth the purchase.

I haven't seen it yet but I'm looking forward to seeing how different (or alike) it is from the original. Should be interesting.
