Okay lets see... Geek Squad? WTH, uh no. Don't need that. Anti-virus? Haven't used one for years, and I check online every month and I'm still 100% virus free. It's called using your brain and not running superuser accounts. Music Software? Wow, I didn't realize Winamp was that expensive!!
Photoshop and Multimedia junk? Uhm, I don't need all that on my PC. So lets see, to get the same performance as a Mac for what I use it for? $0. That has got to be the most useless argument for a Mac over a PC I've ever heard. |

You'd need a fair chunk more than $100 for video editing software for a PC.
It's the main reason why I'm typing this on a Mac. *LOL* Logan |

Not a trial, a Full Version! This VAIO has Click to Disc Editor. Blu-ray support on these VAIOs too. It's but one reason why I'm typing this on a Sony VAIO. *LOL* ![]() Last edited by dadkins; 04-22-2009 at 12:57 AM. |

That's cool, but avg is free, I don't photo or video edit. I sure as hell don't need or use 100 in music software?! Or pay geek squad for anything!?!?

Well my sister had to get a Mac for school, and it came loaded with a ton stuff for free (Photoshop being one of the pricier programs).
So it's certainly included in some cases for free (her computer wasn't any more than it'd cost to get in a store), but I imagine Apple works out deals with middle schools/high schools/colleges, and doubt you can go walk into the Apple store and walk out with a computer that has PS on it, without paying extra for the program. |

this whole thing is retarded, i just spent $450 on an extra system for my house and its far faster then my sisters new $1299 imac. now if apple would let me run OSX on my pc without any hax i would do so if for nothing else then to learn more about how it works (i havent used a mac in many years now) till that day i will stick with XP,Vista server 08 and win7 (sorry linux im a gamer and a MS fanboy).
