Default Planet Earth Biggest Hi Def Earner $

Since they didn't give the format breakdown I'm assuming BD sold more.

More good news for HD DVD.

Try not to assume. This is the one title that HD-DVD seems to sell a lot of. It's been appearing on the top ten list for weeks.

As far as it being the biggest earner, for its price I'm not surprised. Plus, it's a G-rated material unlike the R-rated Matrix. It's almost kids-safe.

How can you be missing other great titles on Blu-ray like The Descent, Crash and Silent Hill?

I have said it time and time again, people confuse HD-DVD with regular DVD. About 10 of the 90 review posts on amazon for PE HD-DVD are of people complaining that they thought it would play in a regular DVD player. Misinformation makes up a good portion of HD-DVD sales including PE. Like I said before, my friend bought a HDTV and bought a HD-DVD thinking it would look good on his TV. He found out quick that he has a useless piece of plastic. After opening, no returns!!!

This was ahead on HD-DUD on Amazon, but it was exactly the opposite on many other online suppliers, as there are no numbers, the only one that will what sold will be Warner.

one thing I do know about movies is that if someone steals them off the shelf, that counts as a sale because the store has to buy a new one...

of course a good portion of those sales numbers are from amazon.com which is clearly not a glitch now that they have confirmed these numbers...

it seems like the HD-DVD fanboys got together to buy a whole bunch of copies of PE and they neglected almost all the other movies...

this is probably why they released the Matrix series as a boxed set...thinking they would have another PE on their hands and they were let down miserably...
